Sounds of Summer

Summer is finally here! The season of outdoor living, it is one for the senses as we enjoy the smell of natures perfume whilst feasting our eyes on the bright colours all around. The summer season also brings us some of the most wonderful sounds we can finally enjoy after patiently waiting throughout the winter.

Waves lapping on the shore

There is nothing more calming than listening to waves gently lap over the shore whilst your feet sink into the soft sand and your senses are filled with fresh sea air.

Whether calmly stroking the tiny grains of sand or crashing fiercely against the rocks, the sea is one of natures greatest sounds.

Birds chirping

When the birds fill the air with their tuneful song, we know that summer is in the air. A signal of new growth and warm season ahead. How wonderful it is to step into the garden on a warm summers day and enjoy a morning coffee accompanied by the cheerful chirping in the background.

Laughter from garden parties/outdoor living

When summer comes we are released from our winter cocoon and out into the open air. From breakfast on the patio to BBQ’s with your neighbours, the summer is a time to make the most of the great outdoors. Whether you prefer the sanctuary of your garden or immersing yourself in festival life, there are always sounds of laughter and summer cheer to be heard and enjoyed.

Drinks poured over ice

There is no better summer sound than the crack and fizz of ice as a drink is poured over it. So gentle the sound yet so impactful as you know that when the ice is filling the glass, summer is officially here.

Crickets on holiday

Although more commonly associated with summer holidays, an evening would not be complete without the sound of the crickets. When you take a leisurely evening stroll and you hear the chirping of the crickets, you know you’re on holiday!
